The Destination

In a distant land far far away
stories are told that someday
a King of kings will come back
everything seems to be on track
Travelers en route for the meeting
along the way there is greeting
The path uneven and very narrow
less traveled than the flight of a sparrow
Hundreds of men on this path has gone astray
the templates of the ten commandments thrown away!
Seeking shortcuts and easier highway roads
worldly pleasures many enjoyed loads
Morals, values and faith alongside dumped
baggage regarded too heavy too pumped
The only map to this final Destination
the Book less read full of complication?
Behold for this was foretold
beings shaped in His mold
Everlasting life only can begotten
for those that walk stern and not forgotten
The journey might be for some too long
in the end so many will be proven wrong
Not nearly even halfway there
sometimes too much to bare
Take my hand and walk with me to The Destination
or else you will be left behind an abomination!
I for one would love to meet my King
and be sheltered forever under His wing
