Lets heal that which is broken

I woke with a bang in my heart
where did this feeling come from
why this sense of urgency…

“Let us heal what we have broken!”

I lay still,
did not open my eyes
just breathe Gabriele…you just breathe

Then there it was,
I felt deep compassion
compassion for others and myself
a feeling of being nurtured came over me

I don’t think of ‘they’ or ‘them’ anymore
I think in terms of ‘us’ and ‘me’
it is about all of us including me
no one is excluded
we are in this together
You and Me…

“Let us heal what we have broken!”

Feeling my way deeper
my eyes stay closed
and I know…
‘We need’ to radically change if we want to heal…
What has been broken?
The answer comes over my lips with ease…
It is ‘us’ who has been broken along the way
It is ‘us’ who can start today
Why not look with the eyes of compassion?

Look and see
bring yourself to the world
your fear…your hunger…your longing…
is but shared by many
together we can heal
together we can bring about change

“We can heal that which has been broken”
the change starts with ‘Me”
