There is something I want to say

The introduction
To an idea
A belief so strong
Yet kind of shy
Slowly you drew me in

Over month’s you
Nurtured me
Helped me to grow
As you were
Testing your own set of wings

As your belief
In your strength grew
You handed me
A key – universal
That opened so many doors

The door of creativity
The freedom to be me
To express my thoughts
My hopes, my fears
Free from judgement and scorn

The door to friendship
Was flung wide open
Embraced by loving
Warmth, joy
And passion for life

The door of trust
Loyalty, fidelity
The meaning
Of standing firm
And true to one’s heart

The door of romantic love
To my complete amazement
As you bought out my passions
It created a new
A sacred bond

And then there is the joy,
The laughter and the fun
The humbling praise from kindred souls
And so much more
Priceless in its value


And as a new door
Stands before me
And I tentatively step thru’
I do so in peace
Feeling so safe, secure

Blessed in the knowledge
That you are by my side
And will be evermore
Not only that
But ingrained within my heart

There are not words enough
Of thanks, of celebration
Hope and peace
To simply write it down
To encompass all that I feel

I wish you wings
To span the world
All that you hope and envisage
And know, that in this time
I too, stand firm at your side

Characters, humour and strength

Hi Julie,

What a privilege to know you as well. Your warm soul and ever present smile is very difficult to ignore and i for one did not escape the gravity of its tug. From my hart i wish you and John everything of the best and specifically to you a wonderful, fulfilling and adventurous stay in the UK.
