FILTER INTO ME

I've often drifted away
on clouds white and flecks of grey
wondering when true love came my way
then realizing it feels like yesterday

as viscous tears of red wine slowly
crawls down to the bottom of my glass
so it happened that you filtered your way
into my being and quenched my soul

realized that I want to be
lost inside you forever more
drift away to ancient shores
where in tranquill settings
we can love and freely explore

with each passing cloud
I look to see if you're around
a quick glimpse and my heart pounds
by leaps and bounds
you my love, I have found
