An angel you are...with a broken wing
life’s been unkind, sad songs you sing
emptiness turned your heart into stone
longing, yearning, your world too alone
trying to piece together all hidden scars
living in crevices and happiness so sparse
an angel, neatly clad, soon came this way
patching the brokenness each given day
heartfelt times spent inside damaged soul
begging his maker to make him truly whole
progress was slow, time was of the essence
to make known a more gratifying presence
walking together on this detour was found
healing prominently silenced dark ground
